Event Description:
Important business meetings, conferences, and educational and public relations events, are great ways to raise money, provide training, and keep your organization in the public eye. For these reasons, it’s critical for planners to know how to effectively organize, budget and market events to keep the company in the green, out of trouble, and on the minds of donors, business partners, and customers. This certificate program includes six workshops, which will be offered on a monthly basis. Each workshop will be held from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the WCU location at Biltmore Park, Asheville, NC. Participants do not enroll in the certificate program, but rather complete the workshops at their own pace. Workshops are offered each semester (spring and fall). Earning a WCU Event Planning Certificate requires participants to complete all six workshops including the submission of a case study for each workshop. Instructors will distribute a case study at the end of each workshop, and the participant should only submit them to the program coordinator when the 6 workshops are completed.
