Event Description: Registration: $79 Program Description Ensuring compliance with the Department of Labor’s newest wage and hour regulations is critical to every company’s success. This program will cover the changed white collar exemptions, interns, joint employers, postliminary duties and the Department of Labor’s approach to enforcing these new standards. In addition, this program will address the basics of the North Carolina Wage and Hour Act. At the completion of this training participants will: Have a working knowledge of the FLSA regulations and the NC Wage and Hour Act Learn to spot issues related to exempt v. non-exempt employees and wage payment issues Understand how recent changes to the regulations impact their organization Western Carolina University is recognized by SHRM to offer Professional Development Credits (PDCs) for the SHRM-CPSM or SHRM-SCPSM.
