Event Description: This half day sports management workshop is for high school coaches, administrators, and counselors and college coaches and administrators, and anyone interested in learning more about the rules and impact of cost of attendance for NCAA Division I student-athletes. $89 per person or a g roup rate of $59 per person with 3 or more registrations (Includes networking lunch from 1-2 p.m.) CEUs Offered Topics to be addressed include: Recent reorganization of NCAA governance structure Definition and calculation of cost of attendance Advantages and disadvantages of cost of attendance Impact on various constituents (student-athletes, coaches, administrators, conferences, etc.) and functions (fundraising, compliance, etc.) Discussion of application for your campus Speakers / discussants: Doug King (The Southern Conference Associate Commissioner for Compliance) Randy Eaton (Western Carolina University Director of Athletics) Shea Browning (Western Carolina University Office of Legal Counsel) AJ Grube (Western Carolina University Faculty Athletics Representative)
