Event Description: For the first time in modern history, we have five distinct generations in the workforce, each with their own expectations, goals, strengths, and challenges. The most successful organizations not only embrace this diversity but they also leverage the experience and skills each brings to the table through multiple forms of mentoring. Mentoring is more than just the transfer of knowledge; it’s a two-way give-and-take that benefits the protégé and mentor alike. At the conclusion of this workshop, participants will be able to: Better understand and appreciate the value of mentor programs to the protégé, mentor, and the organization Differentiate generational needs and trends and tailor programs to the individual protégé Identify the various types of mentoring strategies and determine which one(s) fit your organization’s objectives Develop training programs for mentors and protégés that enhance the experience and allow each to gain the greatest return on investment
