Asheville Hiking Tours

We went as a family of 4 with twin 12 yr olds. The tour was great. The tour guide, Nicholas AKA the Bald Eagle was even better!

Highly recommend. It was fun and informative, in-depth and intense. You know what else is intense? Camping. Camping is in tents!

Ok, the tour isn't really intense, but I needed a segue to tell a dad joke. You know who else tells dad jokes? Nick does.

We went on a tour with Jennifer. It was well worth the time and money. Ashville Hiking Tours use naturalists as guides who each have unique backgrounds. It made the experience so much more interesting. She was so knowledgeable about the flora and fauna, history of the area, etc. We went to falls that most tourists aren't aware of. Enjoyed every minute!

This hike was absolutely amazing! MK was the best guide I have ever had for any tour and I've been many. She is so knowledgeable and super fun. I am very prone to car sickness, but was not a problem driving all over the mountains. It was very safe. I'm still in aw about how smart she is. She knows everything about the area; the flora and fauna, wildlife, the trails, history and folklore of the area -just everything! I was with my sister and niece and my 83 year old mother. MK picked the best trails for us. She was so patient with us and really just gave us the best experience. She set a pace that was comfortable for all of us. I was nervous going down some rock steps. She was super understanding, and held my hand to make sure I was safe We've been talking about this hike ever since. I cannot say enough about MK. The company is great super easy to book. I couldn't do it online so I called she got me fixed up right away. really cannot give enough praise for this experience.

Amazing experience. Our knowledgeable, engaging, and charismatic guides Nikko and MK took excellent care of our group. Great way to get outside, get some exercise, and learn about local flora and fauna in the BEST possible way! Even if I was a local, I would take this tour often.

Asheville Hiking Tours was a wonderful & unique experience! Our hiking tour was led by Paul who was enthusiastic & exceptionally knowledgeable. Our guide brought our wonderful small group of hikers together through laughs, & a deep dive into the diverse flora & fauna of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Each stop along the way was a gem, all quiet & breathtaking. In total we saw 3 GORGEOUS waterfall views in just 2.5 miles total on a beginner level hike, Paul was also gracious enough to be everyone's photographer. We were in professional hands where safety is first & were provided equipment for a smooth & accommodating hike. This tour is a must for the whole family to explore some of the most beautiful parts of the country & make some new friends along the way!

My girlfriend and I just did the Waterfalls and Blue Ridge Parkway Tour with Paul as our guide, and it was an absolutely amazing experience! Paul was so knowledgeable about all of the surrounding environment. He made our trip so much better with the information he told us as well as his funny jokes and stories! We will definitely use this company for future trips to Asheville!

Absolutely awesome experience. I love hiking and had doubts initially about the "need" for a guided hike, but I am so glad we took the plunge. Our guide was Chris and we did a waterfall hike. Chris was excellent- super personable and extremely knowledgeable. We felt totally at ease, never rushed. And he took tons of pictures of us along the way, which I am so thankful to have.

Excellent experience- highly recommend! And even if you are a regular hiker I recommend taking a pole if you hike to Catawba falls. It was a little slick in spots.

This was by far the best hiking tour I have been on. Paul was our guide and was extremely knowledgeable and showed us some of the most pristine spots Pisgah Forest and the Blue Ridge have to offer. This tour is beginner friendly but will be just as enjoyable if you are a seasoned hiker as well.
