Radiological Technicians play a vital role in our ability to provide care to our communities, but did you know what else they do? They save the planet while supporting veterans (thank you Anthony!), they make nervous kids laugh through the joy of stickers (thank you Kelly!) and they diligently play the role of teacher and student to ensure our center teams feel safe and are supported (thank you Beth!). These superstars not only excel in the care they provide, but for go above and beyond in new and unique ways. Justine Del Barrio, physician assistant for Northwell Health-GoHealth, is our GoBeyond award recipient for January. Dr. Michael Green, associate medical director, commends Justine for her compassion that goes above and beyond expectations -  "We have a homeless gentleman that comes by our Elwood location on Long Island. He stays to himself and does not bother patients or team members. Recently, the temperature dropped and, after working a 16-hour shift ending after midnight, Justine went home and returned to the area to bring him a sleeping bag and some food." We opened our first new center of 2024 in Commerce Township with Henry Ford Health on January 3rd, and a new center in Northern Virginia on January 22nd with Inova Health System. Providing comfortable care for our communities sometimes calls for a field trip to learn more about the diverse patients we see. That’s why our team recently caught “How to Dance in Ohio,” a Broadway musical that explores the universal need to connect and the courage it takes to step out into the world while on the autism spectrum.
