The Worx Project is a new design/build, work-based learning, career tech campus for youth in Western North Carolina created in partnership with Buncombe County Schools CTE department. Worx Project provides public school students in WNC with authentic out of school learning opportunities, career exploration opportunities, and career training experiences. The Worx Project will also be a voice for trade and skill based education that is specifically targeted to address workforce development gaps in the Western North Carolina economy. Currently, the Worx Project provides opportunities for students to gain "real world" experience in construction, culinary arts, outdoor products manufacturing, agriculture, and environmental sciences.
